Talk Show? It's a Go

So wow it hits when it hits. Started The Groundlings this week. So awesome, feels like home. I really miss doing improv and it was great for my soul and creative energy as well. Also looking into UCB, Patrick will let me know about it... right Patrick? Will's class is lovely, the support and connection between the people and the craft is inspiring. I'm very very fortunate I get to watch these people interpret, perform, and create... and get to create with them!

I am the new co-host of talkshowontheweb.com. We haven't officially began the show but when we do I will be pimping it out like no one's business. I'm super excited because it is a wonderful creative outlet. I told them about Sir Ryan Wiseman, because the man really should be writing and performing. After seeing what's out there, I am fully confident Ryan will accomplish big things if he so chooses to. So he will be doing movie reviews, and I will be co-hosting and doing sketches. We are trying to go for a David Letterman meets SNL type project.

Jen and I are also going full force on the cleaning service webisode, which is even more exciting I can't wait to start filming. Everything seems very GO GO GO, which is great. I really hope everything pans out. I am just so very lucky I get to create and perform. This is awesome, feeling much more hopeful this week.

Interesting Time for actors

Starting a blog...check. One thing done that I can control. And right now, anything that can be done to advance my career that I can control I would like to get done. Almost coming on year one in LA, which is going to be an interesting milestone. I've been pretty hard on myself for all the things I haven't done. But there are so many postives that should not be overlooked. Moved here, found a day job, got headshots, sent mailings, actively participated in CD workshops, became a member of an acting company (Will Wallace), submitted daily, and obsessively learned everything I could about the business. I think, especially in this time, I need to cut myself some slack. It is frustrating trying to find an agent right now. It is also semi-comforting to know that there is not a lot of work out there right now, and the work that is being done seems to be taken up by well established people who have been working thier asses off for years. So here's to year one, I'm not going anywhere... I just want to be a really great actor. So I can control going to class, learning more about the craft, studying with people who are equally as passionate, and producing projects. It is an interesting time to be an actor. While there is little work out there, there is the opportunity to MAKE work. Anyone who wants to create with me, LETS GO. There should be no excuse for not creating something. Several minds are better than one, and right now I feel like it is the time for passionate artists to come together and take things to the next level. Stop making crap and start making projects that we are passionate about, even if they fail. Strive for progress and continue to be optomistic.
